Case Study:
Managing Hemophilia
with GOAL-Hēm

Having identified a clear need for novel outcome measures in Hemophilia, DGI and Shire are working in partnership to develop GOAL-Hēm, a patient reported outcome measure. This shared decision-making tool was developed with input from patients and clinicians and tested in a multi-center feasibility study in the US and Canada. Beta users have found that GOAL-Hēm is motivating and changes the conversation between the clinician and the patient. Additional patient-centered research is ongoing.
