Kari Knox, Research and Training assistant DGI Clinical in Halifax NS

Kari Knox, BScN RN

Kari graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Since graduating, she has spent her time caring for patients within the Hematology/Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the Victoria General Hospital and Newborn and Women’s Health at the IWK Health Care Center, both in Halifax. As a cancer survivor, Kari is passionate about patient-centered care and cutting edge research and particularly enjoyed her time as a Hematology research coordinator. With her lived experience and professional background, Kari is able to advocate for approaches that are both meaningful and practical in real-life patient-based settings. Kari spends her free time running in Halifax’s downtown seaside park, hiking up and down the coastline and eating as much fresh sushi as is humanly possible.
